what do i bring to the table?
looking for assignments i have met 100 prospective employers or their agents. in my first assignment i did not have to answer this question what do you bring to the table. apparently my iq test maths test my attire look and brief interview was enough and i was given an employment. joining date whenever you wish. afterwards this questions baffled me. i have learnt by that time what i bring to the table. the ability to deliver as per what is needed.
without knowing how do i meet expectation?
no i do not ask this question. never asked. if one employer cannot visualize me as solution then i do not like to visualize that for him. i am not selling. i must be the most prolific writer and thinker ever known to me. i am astonished by two veda vyasa and valmiki of their ability to compose to very epic that is complete and no addition or corrections possible. not even a change of word could be done without upsetting and sabotaging the creation. ever since i know my creation too is inclusive of my errors spelling grammar dropped words punctuation quotation, sometimes and often rereading it is great job for me to bring out the expression i originally intended. it needs many repeated readings. i have read many western authors completely whatever they have written. i assume they are about 100. lately i am astonished about two bengali writers before my time. rabindranath and nazrul. they are not silly. they are far deeper than 100 western authors i have already read. each of them have composed more than thousand verses and given music to them. rabindranath directed stories with songs music and dance. very subtly and undoubtedly they spoke of the center of my world before logic. origin of my world that got never with world but stayed at the center of table. conducting all in the table. all in our own.
the center of the table does not bring anything to table. it holds the table. it is the sanity of everybody around the table. none knows.
