car grew old same as me
long back in kolkata i was sold a second hand car by some in law. a very sweet talking and i belonged then and wished to belong. i did know nothing about vehicle. i only knew it is luxury that i could not afford. i believed him and bought a car many hands driven at least 25 years old for inr 50000. it was luggage that decorated my residence and was not of any use. i left india in 2000 and it was bought by some other fool even without my fooling him for inr 10000. he pushed the car to wherever he was living. obviously he too could not afford a car. he bought one name. just like i did a dozen years back.
after coming to US even before my family arrived I bought a new car Toyota Sienna. It was necessary for me and my family's survival. it was another 6 years before i got a second car. as i was living away from home and some times travel home by plane. children too was learning to drive and needed a car for their activities. eventually i had three cars. sienna was used by my son for 10 years. it has made 190K miles. last one year it is not being used and occupying space and degenerating. a few days back i noticed one wheel is standing on rims. i have tried to sell it. i felt that i could make at least $2000. i only got frauds enquiring. last night i decided that it is urgent that the car must be disposed of. kelly's book online bought my car for $258. i have three days to give the car and get the money. but the car needs some doing. interior must be cleared off ~ my son's garbage. two seats removed must be put back. i cannot do it. i asked my son to do it. but he may not oblige.
i looked up again this morning for donating my car. i got one agency veteran association ~ they would take the car within 24 hours in any condition from anywhere. i advertised in local craigslist for anyone interested at any price!
car grew old just like me and not needed but may serve some purpose for some one. i have donated my organs but i must inquire if my body would be responsibility of some agency! would my body serve any purpose for anyone! my eyes i am told needs cataract removal. i am not very functional or energetic. diabetes i do not enquire. i cannot afford recovery from same.
can i donate my body as is and arrange to be picked up?
