kranti
his full name is kranti amar his wife rani and his son is dede. deded was a name given by us.
on my first night in hyderabad kranti came with is wife rani to visit us. he had a car and ready for any kind of fun but his gas expense must be born by us. similarly you are invited in his house always and he would insist us sleeping in his house outside under the open sky but you should buy food materials for rani to cook. he could always laugh no matter what. he would also make wild schemes. there was pillai whom i never met. they started a management institute. but unable to continue further with pillai swindling bank loans; kranti was a guarantor. our department was breaking up and ascii was keen on removing it. we all left and kranti too. he went to australia and is a faculty member in a management institute. he was fellow from iim ahmedabad.
kranti was kranti, a unique kind. however rani - i was very devoted to. she was beautiful and very silent kind. i had seen her sad but never angry with anybody that includes kranti. kranti is always scheming. rani is again his ace card of attraction in all his schemes.she would cook at any time at late hours and be smiling. They were married when kranti was in iim. rani belonged to a rich family but then after marriage she had to do with meagre earnings from kranti's fellowship. She was not at all complaining type. Ma chhorda and amu came to hyderabad to visit me. rani took them around shopping. I wrongly thought all wife is like rani. they are not.
ascii was great place to be happy - good food good association good time and no ambition for better life is needed. it is heaven to retire. but our computer department was split up; our director utpal banerjee was sacked for no reason. he was unable to get business. but then he was given no time. six months only.
kranti had great sense of humor but not appreciated always. he went for interview in org. he was asked what you wish to be. he said laughingly that he wished to be in the interviewer's chair.
that reminds me of an interview I had at Adobe. where i was asked about my last job at interra. i described my misfortune to be in a company where there is no value for hard and honest work. Whoever was interviewing me rebuked me saying it is a great organization. He was a teaching me a lesson and asked me if I agree. I willingly agreed saying, next time I am asked about interra I would say, it is a great organization. I had to leave because I was not worthy of the organization. without another word the interviewer led me out of his office and Adobe premise. I said it solemnly but I am not kranti; he says with a sincere smile of understanding.
