touched

I have some rare times been touched
one I remember today that of Gyanendra my colleague at ABC on solemn funeral ceremony of his daughter and mother and father in laws by robbers at in laws home where his wife too was brutally wounded was in hospital for six months to recover
Gyan his family lived near us when shifted to noida in 1989
i learnt quite a few things from gyan from my association with him
he was casual intimate yet private keeping his distance
he helped me many times settling down with my family in noida
in every occasion i approached him for help
he got tickets for my family travel to india when my mother was in nursing home unconcious
gyan in no occasion ask any help from me

on this ceremony we were in queue waiting
gyan approached us pagri holdings in his hand bent head to all of us waiting one by one in silence pausing before us individually without words or tears
what conveyed or expected I do not know but i was touched

i do not know if i learnt to be humble by his humble prideless disposition begging for peace  and forgiveness in case he was ever hurt anybody's feelings
he exposed his wounded heart in his palms to public
he was rough tough punjabi sure of his correctness
what a transformation in that occasion

i have learnt many things from him but never practiced the same
he then used to go to vaishnab devi temple once or twice in a year whenever he was burdened and wished relief
seeing him i too made trip to vaishnab devi temple with my family
i met gyan several times afterwards
he too came to our places
we dined together in many occasions
recently he contacted me via linkedin
my message he did not reply
he is engaged in it recruitment in india

i do know if i learnt to expect irrecoverable loss always from him humbled without show from him and ask for forgiveness and strength to bear loss without breaking down without tears without asking for support  or help
